We encourage you to leave your car on the mainland.  It's very expensive to ferry your car to Nantucket and a car is really not necessary to enjoy the beauty and attractions of the island.  Parking is very restricted, especially in town. Fortunately most of the downtown area is just a few minutes walk from the Easton House.  Walking, biking and riding mopeds are the main ways of getting around.  Shuttle buses, rental cars, taxis and sightseeing tours are also available to take you to other areas of the island and out of town beaches.

If the ferries are operating, guests are expected to arrive as scheduled - whether they planned to arrive by ferry or plane. If all ferries have been cancelled for that day, then a credit towards a future stay or a refund (less 10%)  will be issued for that night's lodging at our discretion.  Guests are expected to arrive for the balance of their reservation once ferry service resumes.  Travel delays, missed connections, medical or other travel issues will not merit credit or refunds. Unanticipated situations such as these are best addressed with travel insurance which we recommend.    or

Easton House and Garden Cottage

A 15-days advance notice is required to cancel or shorten reservations. Less notice requires all reserved nights to be re-rented. Vacancies caused by early departures or late arrivals are considered to be cancellations and full payment of reserved stay is expected. A 30 day cancellation policy applies to reservations of three or more rooms. A 10% service fee is retained regardless of time and reason for cancellation even if re-rented.
